Sennheiser RS 130 Cordless Headphones Review

Watching TV without disturbing others is a big problem for me. I like to watch TV in bed and my wife always complains about the noise and we end up having arguments over it. This is why I started looking for some headphones to use while watching TV. I came across these cordless headphones that are very affordable and now I don't watch TV with anything other than a pair of Sennheiser RS 130 Cordless Surround Sound Headphones. If you are somebody who really likes having an amazing acoustic experience while watching TV, then you really need to check out this product.

We sometimes hear people talk about the fact that virtually all headphones are the same. They make the argument that it doesn't really make any sense to go out of your way to purchase a high quality pair of headphones because you will not really get any better quality out of them. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am somebody who has experimented with a wide variety of headphones. Forget about the little earbuds that typically come packaged with your TV - they really don't work. Well, they work, but once you try on a pair of Sennheiser RS 130 Cordless Surround Sound Headphones you will never want to go back to using anything else.

The RS 130 base transmits radio frequencies on three different channels so as to avoid interference. This can transmit through walls and has a fairly large wireless range.

The headphones don't need to be plugged in to be charged all you need to do is hang it up on the base station for it to charge. The headphones are powered by AAA batteries. The batteries last about 22 hours after you charge them. Please note that these headphones are open backed so if you have someone sitting right next to you they will be able to hear some of the sound. But this open backed design helps a lot with sound quality as the diaphragm has less resistance and can move back and forth quite freely. Audio is crisp and clear and for the very cheap cost of these headphones, it is more than reasonable.

The padded ear pieces are very comfortable and fits around the ear snugly.

These headphones have an auto power switch which switches the system off when no sound output is received for 1 minute. This takes about 3 seconds to reconnect and you will miss the audio in that time. So if you are listening to something important it will be quite annoying to miss it. But this feature helps save battery power.

When watching movies and for playing games you can turn on the surround sound feature and the surround sound effects are pretty impressive. Even though this is not true surround sound, for such a cheap set of headphones, it is truly exceptional. The only real fault I could find with these is that the open backed feature of the head sets doesn't allow for quiet listening. Anyone sitting close to you will be able to hear what you are listening to. But this is quiet enough for my wife to sleep through it.

I highly recommend buying a pair of these headphones online. It will save you from having to travel to a store. If you happen to be a busy professional, then you know how difficult it can sometimes be to find the time to go to the stores anyway. You really won't regret your decision, and I think at the end of the day, you will probably end up telling all of your friends that they need to go out and buy a pair of Sennheiser RS 130 Cordless Surround Sound Headphones too!
